Then it was cooled with ice bath and Cbz-Cl (278 mg, 232 pL, 1.63 mmol) was added drop-wise. After being warmed to rt slowly and stirred for 2 hrs, the reaction mixture was diluted with 20 mL water and extracted with EA (15 mL) twice, the organic layer was dried over Na2S04 and concentrated to give a brown oil.
