Water was added to the reaction mixture, followed by extraction with methylene chloride. The organic layer was washed with a saturated aqueous solution of sodium chloride, dried with anhydrous magnesium sulfate, filtered, and then concentrated under reduced pressure. The concentrate was purified by column chromatography (silicon dioxide, 80 g cartridge; methanol methylene chloride = from 0 % to 5 %) and concentrated to afford the desired compound (15.393 g, 82.0 %) as a yellow solid.
