Example 139; N-1,2-Benzisoxazol-3-yl-3-methyl-4-(3-phenyl-1,2,4-thiadiazol-5-yl)piperazine-1-carboxamide; [Show Image] (1) tert-Butyl 3-methyl-4-(3-phenyl-1,2,4-thiadiazol-5-yl)piperazine-1-carboxylate; To a solution of 1-tert-butoxycarbonyl-3-methylpiperazine (5.00 g, 24.0 mmol) and 4-tert-butoxycarbonylaminopiperidine (5.20 g, 26.4 mmol) in dimethylformamide (100 ml) was added triethylamine (3.35 ml, 24.0 mmol) at room temperature and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours and at 70°C for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was poured into water and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with water and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure.
