N-Substituted donepezil-related 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolines were prepared as potential acetyl choline esterase inhibitors. Microwave-assisted procedures and solution-phase parallel synthesis were chosen to optimize the synthetic approach and improve the yields.
